Following the Paris chapter, Family Show settles into Hoop Galerie’s founding space in Dakar — the heartbeat of our journey, where the spirit of artistic kinship first took root.

Here, too, we gather voices of the extended family: artists who have shaped the gallery’s story over time, and those whose presences are just beginning to bloom within it. The exhibition unfolds as a joyful, intuitive hanging — where works resonate freely, like conversations in a familiar room.

There is no fixed script, no imposed rhythm. Some works are recent arrivals, others long-standing companions. Together, they create a landscape of proximity and trust — a portrait of how artistic alliances grow, sustain, and surprise.

As in Paris, Family Show is about connection: between practices, generations, geographies, and interiorities. It is also a moment to step back from the accelerated pace of the art world, and simply share space — with care, honesty, and attention.
